This song was originally created as incidental music for a theatre production in 2004 and was written under the influence of a terrible headache. It was known as "Clouds" and clocked in at around the 9 minute mark. I was influenced by a lot of music by The Necks at the time, as well as post-rock bands like Explosions In The Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor and Do Make Say Think, and wanted something kind of dreamy that would unfold over a long period of time. The track was expanded in 2006/07 and additional parts written for the second half.
